"one random google maps image a day. that's it." With this definition Mappix describes itself, and to be honest, you can't say more about this site.

By using the google maps API for another project, I noticed the vast amount of fascinating spots you can discover. By using a random-script, Mappix sets up a static google maps image and communicates it via Twitter on a daily basis.

Technically, Mappix is a little playground to me, where I can test one or another feature. Geocoding, cronjob, Twitter OAuth and the Goo.gl API are already used in Mappix. Other features will come for sure.
