GLOBAL Spirometry can be used as an entry into the world of stocks and markets. The user has access to the values of over 8,300 shares. In combination with other online-information a transparency is shown that is indeed present on the exchanges themselves, but isn't communicated enough on traditional media.
The main datasource of GLOBAL SPIROMETRY is Yahoo Finance. Additional information are loaded from the APIs of Twitter and the New York Times.
GLOBAL SPIROMETRY is developed in AS3. For loading and managing data several PHP scripts and mySQL databases are running in the background.
